These pods are the most common type of drop pod used by the GD. It is dropped from a orbital ship, witha trooper and his weapons inside, and it plunges through a planet's atmoshere. These drop pods have only a 90% survival rate, giving them the nickname "flying microwave". To slow it for reentry, rockets on the bottom of the pod are fired. The pods are all equiped with cooling units, as it gets quite hot in the pod. Oxygen (or whatever a species might breathe) is also kept onboard. The trooper is in a sitting position in the pod.
